The global pandemic has clearly demonstrated the importance of securing the supply of medicines. By strengthening and planning logistics operations and drug manufacturing processes in Poland, we have an opportunity to ensure a continuous supply for patients. Warehouse and industrial developers are addressing this issue by creating specialized buildings tailored to the needs of pharmaceutical companies. An example of such cooperation will be the space for a new research and development center for Polfa Warszawa, one of Poland’s largest pharmaceutical companies, which will be developed by 7R as part of the developer’s 7R City Park Warsaw Airport III project on Osmańska Street.
The planned investment will consist of a complex of two buildings with a total area of 24,000 square meters, offering both warehouse and production space as well as high-quality office space. The first tenant of the new City Park is Polfa Warszawa, which has decided to lease 5,500 square meters of modern warehouse and production space, complete with support facilities.
The facility for Polfa Warszawa will be built to the rigorous standards required by the pharmaceutical industry, enabling the company to develop, manufacture, and store products on-site. To achieve adequate noise reduction, the production hall and offices will be equipped with triple-glazed windows and façade panels that offer better sound insulation than those typically found in warehouses.
To support Polfa Warszawa’s planned operations at the site, a special mezzanine will also be installed above the tenant’s entire warehouse and production area. The mezzanine will house the equipment that Polfa will install in its new R&D center to ensure the space meets the highest pharmaceutical standards.
