The global pandemic has clearly shown how important it is to secure drug supplies. With properly strengthened and planned logistics operations and drug manufacturing processes in Poland, we have an opportunity to ensure continuity in supplies for patients. Warehouse and industrial developers are tackling this issue by creating specialized buildings adapted to the needs of pharmaceutical companies. An example of such cooperation will be the space for a new research and development center for Polfa Warszawa, one of the Poland’s largest pharmaceutical companies, which will be prepared by 7R in the developer’s 7R City Park Warsaw Airport III investment on Osmańska Street.
The planned investment will be a complex of two buildings with a total area of 24,000 sqm, which will offer both warehouse and production space as well as high standard office space. The first tenant of the new City Park is Polfa Warszawa, which has decided to lease 5,500 sqm of modern warehouse and production space with support facilities.
The space for Polfa Warszawa will be built to the rigorous standards demanded by the pharmaceutical industry with the company being able to develop, produce, and store products on the premises. In order to achieve satisfactory noise reduction levels, the production hall and offices will be equipped with triple-glazed windows and façade panels with a higher acoustic coefficient than found in typical warehouses.
For the purposes of Polfa Warszawa’s operations planned for the location, a special mezzanine will also be installed over the tenant’s entire warehouse and production area. The mezzanine will house elements of the technology that Polfa will install in its new R&D center to ensure the space maintains top pharmaceutical standards.
