7R, a developer of high-quality warehouses and industrial facilities, is beginning construction of a technical and production hub in Nowa Huta. The first phase will involve soil remediation. Construction is set to begin later this year.
Hub 7R is being developed within the “Ruszcza” Logistics and Industrial Center, part of the “Nowa Huta of the Future” project. It will consist of three buildings and offer tenants a total of 230,000 sq. ft. of technology and production space meeting the highest standards of the 7R Green Saver low-carbon warehouse line.
The project is designed for clients interested in high-tech manufacturing. The hub will also include space for smaller companies, primarily local businesses. Ultimately, it will serve as a kind of cluster that fosters the simultaneous growth of various industries.

Co-CEO of 7R
The project is part of Kraków’s strategy to develop innovative sectors of the economy and attract new investment.
The economy is changing and becoming more specialized, so we have a tremendous opportunity to attract investors from around the world. Investors for whom we will not be merely a source of cheap subcontracting labor, but who will invest here and develop new, cutting-edge projects. However, they must have the space to do so, including in Kraków.
says Tomasz Lubowiecki
Vice Chair of the Supervisory Board of 7R
The project also fulfills the city’s pledge to explore new roles for Nowa Huta, which for decades has been associated primarily with heavy industry.
The project involves revitalizing the site and planting over 2,000 new trees, including biocenotic species that promote habitat development. The site’s natural depressions will be used to create rain gardens, which will help store and filter water, thereby improving soil quality and benefiting the surrounding vegetation.
We want to breathe new life into this area while also restoring its green spaces. Our plans include reforesting approximately 10 hectares of land, creating rain gardens, and managing the area in a truly responsible manner.
confirms Tomasz Lubowiecki
Vice Chair of the Supervisory Board of 7R
The developer began work by remediating the contaminated soil, drawing on the experience gained from previous projects in Silesia. The site was thoroughly surveyed, and all necessary permits were obtained. Construction will begin later this year.

About the “Kraków – Nowa Huta of the Future” project
“Kraków – Nowa Huta of the Future” is a strategic project of the City of Kraków and the Małopolska Province, aimed at creating a new urban district on post-industrial sites that formerly constituted the buffer zone of the metallurgical complex in Nowa Huta, thereby deepening the economic diversification of the city and the province, as well as creating favorable conditions for the development of industries representing so-called Smart Specializations. The project includes the following components: the “Ruszcza” Logistics and Industrial Center, the “Branice” Science and Technology Park, a residential development area, the “Błonia 2.0” Center for Large-Scale Outdoor Cultural Events, and the “Przylasek Rusiecki” Recreation and Leisure Center.
