7R Park Wrocław West II achieved a score of 95.6 percent, the highest score for an industrial building under the BREEAM International New Construction Version 6 scheme. This is the first 7R Green Saver facility, a sustainable warehouse solution designed to benefit both tenants and investors.

7R, a developer of high-quality warehouses, has thus established itself as a leader in sustainable development. BREEAM is one of the world’s leading green building certification systems, and the Outstanding rating is the highest level of certification, signifying exemplary performance in sustainability.  “Our warehouse currently holds the highest certification score of its kind in continental Europe. This underscores 7R’s commitment to building environmentally friendly, future-proof facilities that set new industry standards. 7R’s Green Saver line attracts international tenants and investors focused on new facilities of this type,” adds Michał Białas, co-CEO of 7R.

This achievement was made possible by 7R’s long-term sustainability strategy and clearly demonstrates the effectiveness of the 7R Green Saver warehouse concept developed as a result. “Thanks to the combined technical solutions, buildings in this line of 7R products achieve a minimum 50 percent reduction in operational CO2 emissions and a 50 percent reduction in primary energy demand compared to buildings constructed in accordance with Polish building regulations. This generates significant savings on operating costs for the tenant and enhances investment value. The BREEAM Outstanding certification is the culmination of our efforts,” explains Piotr Miodek, Head of Construction & Sustainability at 7R.

The 7R Green Saver facility stood out in sustainable construction, earning a perfect score in the BREEAM categories for energy efficiency and water management.“This was achieved through the use of high-efficiency air-source heat pumps, a photovoltaic system that will operate in conjunction with its own energy storage system, and advanced lighting controls, including an astronomical timer.” Water-saving solutions include a cooling system for fire pumps with water recirculation, greywater recovery, and simpler measures such as metering irrigation points and installing aerators in faucets,”said Maciej Runkiewicz, CEO of Kajima Poland, the general contractor for the industrial park.

The BREEAM certification process for 7R Park Wrocław West II was conducted by JWA, a highly respected and accredited BREEAM Assessor.
