7R has established a “Green Team” and start work on a zero-emission warehouse
7R, a developer specialising in providing A-class warehouses, has appointed the “Green Team” – a group of experts from various fields who will develop and implement ecological solutions. The primary goal is to build a zero-emission warehouse.
7R’s Green Team comprises property managers, engineers, project and development managers and architects. It is led by Piotr Miodek, Head of Construction & Engineering and Head of Sustainability at 7R. Piotr is an experienced manager who has been working in the logistics industry for over 12 years now. He is an expert in creating and implementing ESG strategies. Piotr also provides tenants with advice on the use of effective environmental solutions aimed at increasing the operational and cost efficiency of buildings and is responsible for BTS facilities.
Care for the environment and reducing our impact on climate change are two of the most important elements in creating our future. Together with the development of artificial intelligence, ESG projects are key investments of today. That's why, at 7R, we have decided that they will determine the direction of our development. Our goal is to create a functional, zero-emission building.
Tomasz Lubowiecki
CEO and founder of 7R
The strength of the 7R Green Team comes from its members, several experts in their fields whose passions are closely related to sustainability and ecology. The team consists of, for instance, a beekeeper, a builder of a combined-cycle machine, an expert with 40 years of experience in construction, a chemist by education, and a vegan. The experts have been divided into working groups that analyse and set new directions of development in areas such as BREEAM, the European Green Deal, taxonomy, the use of hydrogen, as well as the specification of a zero-emission warehouse, considering the embodied and operational carbon footprint.
We wanted 7R’s Green Team to bring together passionate people who care about ecology and are interested in matters related to climate change. Thanks to such a diverse team, we can analyse new technological solutions from every angle, both from the technical perspective and in terms of use. This gives us the ability to introduce new solutions and explore innovations more quickly, thus enabling us to meet our ambitious climate goals.
Piotr Miodek
Head of Construction & Engineering and Head of Sustainability
As part of the Green Team, 7R will create energy-efficient warehouses, allowing tenants and future owners to save considerable amounts of money. All upcoming projects are verified to ensure that they reduce the carbon footprint as much as possible. Soon, 7R is planning to launch several projects with a 50% lower carbon footprint compared to standard buildings built in 2021.
At the same time, 7R has implemented a strategy to place competitively priced zero-emission warehouses on the market by 2026. In addition, 7R will publish another ESG report later this year.
