7R to invest in smart roofs

7R, a Polish warehouse developer, is implementing a new technology to manage the risks connected with flat roofs. The “Smart Roof” platform, developed by Sense Monitoring, helps to prevent roof overload by alerting the building’s manager in advance of potential danger. 7R will apply the system in the 7R Park Gdańsk II logistics complex in Kowale, where a monitored roof will cover over 60,000 sqm of modern warehouse space.

The flat roofs of industrial and warehouse properties are exposed to inclement weather conditions such as heavy rain or hail. In order to be able to fully eliminate the risks arising from potential overloads, Sense Monitoring has developed a web-based tool that combines key functionalities for managing roofs with large areas.

We want to provide our customers with the best maintenance solutions available on the market for large buildings. Today, when climate change often triggers extreme weather events, agile and remote property management is becoming increasingly important. We are convinced that Sense Monitoring’s technology is the way to go. Access to data essential for the safety of employees and material resources stored in the building will guarantee our tenant’s peace of mind during their business operations. We, in turn, will be able to remotely monitor the situation in order to react in advance and effectively manage our entire network of properties.

The “Smart Roof” platform is a PropTech solution that meets the needs of warehouse facilities. It collects, analyses and archives data 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If the system detects a threat, it notifies the user of the need to take security measures in the affected building.

Cooperation with 7R is another step in our development strategy to popularize roof structure monitoring among the largest developers. We are convinced that the solution we are creating is becoming a new standard for large-area buildings.
